John McGee Park Dedication & Ribbon Cutting
Today the community at John McGee Park (formerly Cypress Youth Sports Complex) located at 2125 S. Edgewood Drive; joined the City of Lakeland with the McGee family to dedicated the park to John McGee.
With the support of Mike and Kathy McGee, the community boasts a just over 1/2 mile walking trail, two lighted multi-use fields, and a new automotive-themed playground that recognizes McGee Tire Stores, started by the late John McGee. These improvements are a great addition to the already established multi-use fields and restrooms in the park.
