Surprise Your Guests with These Thanksgiving Cocktails

Make your Thanksgiving dinner a memorable one by serving interesting drinks. Become an expert host with these recipes.




Negroni



Ingredients


1 oz gin

1 oz Campari

1 oz sweet vermouth

Garnish: dehydrated orange



Steps


  1. Add the gin, Campari and sweet vermouth to a mixing glass filled with ice, and stir until well-chilled.

  2. Strain into a rocks glass over ice cubes.

  3. Garnish with a dehydrated orange.



Gin & Tonic




Ingredients


Ice

1 1/2 oz gin

4 oz chilled tonic water

2 or 3 lime wedges, for garnish

Steps


  1. Fill a chilled Gin Goblet glass with ice.

  2. Add the gin and tonic water and stir well.

  3. Garnish with the lime wedge.



Blueberry Prosecco





Ingredients


1/4 cup fresh blueberries

2 sprigs fresh thyme

1 oz fresh lemon juice

1 oz simple syrup

3 oz Prosecco chilled

1 oz elderflower tonic water plain tonic water, or soda water, chilled

Steps


  1. Skewered blueberries for garnish

  2. In a sturdy wineglass, muddle the blueberries and 1 of the thyme sprigs.

  3. Fill the glass three-quarters full with ice and stir.

  4. Pour the lemon juice, simple syrup, and Prosecco over the ice and top with the elderflower tonic.

  5. Gently stir to combine and garnish with the remaining thyme sprig and the skewer of blueberries, if using.



AMARO SOUR




Ingredients


1.5 oz Amaro Your Choice

.75 oz Bourbon

1 oz Lemon Juice

.25 oz Simple Syrup

1 Egg White

Steps


  1. Add ingredients to tin

  2. separate egg white and add to tin

  3. Add large rock of ice to tin and give it a good shake

  4. Strain into chilled glass



Brandy Alexander




Ingredients


1 1/2 oz cognac

1 oz dark cacao creme

1 oz cream

Garnish: grated nutmeg

Steps


  1. Add cognac, dark cacao creme into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.

  2. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass or a coupe glass.

  3. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.



Tequila Sunrise




Ingredients


2 oz blanco tequila

4 oz orange juice, freshly squeezed

1/4 oz grenadine

Garnish: orange slice

Garnish: cherry

Steps


  1. Add the tequila and then the orange juice to a chilled highball glass filled with ice.

  2. Top with the grenadine, which will sink to the bottom of the glass, creating a layered effect.

  3. Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry.
